About

In short, I am a designer, a dreamer, a beauty explorer, a Jesus follower, and a working mom of two very cute boys.

I believe that graphic design exists not only for aesthetic creations but it also communicates ideas strategically. A visual identity is not only a logo—it is a visual system that works like a big puzzle, composed by pieces of brand elements. Being consistent with core visual elements in such a system is as important as finding ways to break boundaries and innovate.

I spent 15 years in Boston, Massachusetts before relocating to Southern California, where I call home since 2015. I currently work for Glenkirk Church located in Glendora, where I am serving a congregation of 1000 members to create branding and advertisings for all-year-round events and all ministries.

Prior to my relocation, I was a senior designer at Sametz Blackstone Associates in Boston. I studied at the New England School of Art and Design at Suffolk University and The Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University, where I earned my MA and BFA, respectively.

When I am not designing, I keep up with news and blogs, spend time with my spiritual family, play piano, work with handicrafts, translate English into Chinese, and indulge myself and others with home-made cuisines.

If I might be a good fit for your project, feel free to reach out at venusideas@gmail.com. I would appreciate an opportunity to chat!
